Do you have a dog needs a little “extra” training?
Maybe your puppy has you overwhelmed?
Then ROOT’s Doggy Day School might be a great choice for
you & your dog!
At ROOT Dog Training we understand that not everyone has time or the expertise to train their own dog. Also sometimes certain dogs and certain skills just need that extra touch of an experienced trainer. With our day training we train your dog during the day while you can be off doing other important chores. Then we have a lesson together either weekly or bi-weekly to go over the skills that your dog has been taught during their training session. Many clients prefer Day School to a Board and Train for their four legged family members. They have a better understanding of how their dog is handling the training.
We offer a variety of different Day Training options.
Doggy Day School at our Highwood location is for the dog that just needs extra time with the trainer or for the family that does not have the time to put in the practice with their pup between classes. People use this option in addition to both private lessons and group classes. Clients also like this option as a tune up to previously trained behaviors. We offer both half hour and hour long sessions. Pick up and/or drop off service is offered at an additional charge.
In Home Doggy Day School is where we come to your house and train your dog for approximately a half hour. We work on what skills are most important to you for your dog’s learning. This is great for a variety of dogs but best for dogs that have behavioral problems related to their house, like door dashing, or neighborhood walking problems.
Fun Field Trip Doggy Day School is great for extra puppy socialization or for our dogs that need to generalize their training to other locations. Field Trip Day Training is approximately one hour long.
Special Needs Doggy Day School is an option for our dogs that need a special touch to deal with their special needs. Some examples of a special needs dog is one who is reactive/aggressive to other dogs or people in public, scared/fear based problems. Sara McLoudrey is the only trainer who will work with your dog. Special Needs Doggy Day School is approximately one hour long.
Prices depend on location and number of visits per week.
