Private dog training lessons are tailored to suit you and your dog’s personal training needs.
 
We start with an initial consultation that is 1.5 hours long. In the consultation we assess your training needs, set realistic expectations, go over the “hows” of training, and start training some foundation skills. From there we set out a schedule of lessons and training goals. Follow up lessons are an hour long with approximately 45 minutes of training and 15 minutes of review and answering questions.
 
Private lessons are offered both in your own home and at our training facility in Highwood, IL.
 
Initial Consultations are $200 and up depending on location. Follow up lessons are discounted when purchased as a package. Contact us to so we can set up an training program custom made for you and your dog.
 
All of ROOT Dog Training methods are dog friendly, positive training. We focus on clicker training, with a lot of fun, food, praise, and play mixed in. ROOT never uses punishment and aversive collars such as choke, prong, pinch or shock/e-collars in training.
